I’d mimic the same kind of sentiment here, 5-10 years. Put simply, I’ve had a few too many experiences with va-based blends turning a certain kind of way that I don’t really enjoy. Not every one does, but enough have. Somehow more woody?

5 years is my generic rule for anything without latakia. Blends with latakia I prefer 10-12 years.

In saying that, I have no problem smoking things fresh either, but there is a satisfaction to letting it age, and they sure taste nice.

I have never done a side by side comparison of the same blend fresh and aged, I have a suspicion that it might take some of the romance out of it for me...

I’ve done a side by side comparison with a few blends.
Some appreciated nicely. Some I could tell hardly any difference.
