Plume and bloom are interchangeable. Some reps like to call mold bloom, and convince the shop keeper to not send back the cigars or tobacco. I mentioned this in another thread, but if you look under a glass, mold will look like mushrooms. True Plume or Bloom looks like sugar crystals, and is scattered rather than patchy.

I don't know if you would see colored molds on cigars. Any I have seen, in shops, is typically white. Any colored molds I've seen were on the plants. Can't speak for pipe tobacco having colored mold as I have never seen any mold on it, and have only really smoked pipes seriously for a few years. I've smoked cigars well over 30 years.
