Gray, you underscore the real 'problem' here- that production of these fine tobaccos is nowhere near meeting the current demand. I do wonder whether these blends would be so popular if they were readily available. I think their scarcity adds to that desirable, hard to find mystique, especially for a demographic that is probably more than a little pretentious. Point taken on markups, but really, is an Ebay auction started at or below the product's retail value gouging? I think not. Perhaps it is a moot point anyway, as most retailers put a purchase limit on these high demand tobaccos, effectively prohibiting significant profiteering by private parties. Kasbah, the "tobacco rules of Ebay" have nothing to do with what we are talking about. Everyone winks at the rule stating that a tobacco tin is a collectible container, not sold for the value of contents. Everyone, including you, knows the contents value, so perhaps they should not have tobacco auctions on Ebay at all if it is going to bother you when you can't afford to bid. It is quite transparent that you are really just upset that you didn't get some baccy you wanted.
