Their goal with 10 is to fix all the issues with 8 and take us away from the tablet interface.
Proving once again that you should skip every other Windows release if at all possible... :D

I've had Kaspersky the past 5-6 years with no issues. Typically, the free AVG worked for me, but my wife and kids always had issues. None have experienced any issues since going with Kaspersky. I also use CCleaner along side.

I agree with ae1 - backup drives are cheap, and ghosting your main drive to a backup is by far the fastest and best way to restore your pc if the main drive physically dies, or as a superior alternative to reformatting and starting from scratch.

Norton does hog the system, everyone I know that got "Violated" had Norton.

We have 2 macs & 13 PC's. Have used Mcafee for all for 20+ years, download 20+ files a day for business & never had a glitch one. Except when we purchased protection from a service mentioned previously from ous IT consultant. Back to Macfee & safe. Also use MalwareBytes Pro.

If I were using for personal only would use MS security.

I was using Avast when I had a PC. Still, I had issues on occasion. Finally, I switched to a MAC and no longer have problems.

I use Kaspersky on my PC's and Android phones.
The Vulnerability Scan is very helpful in finding problems and, well, vulnerabilities to hacking in your old software you might have long ago forgotten you even have installed on your PC.

Used to run Norton and had nothing but problems. Went to Kaspersky and MalwareBytes and have had zero issues. Can't comment on other brands.
