Just kidding!
Let's discuss patio furniture---the good, the bad and the ugly.
I have a second hand set, "wrought" iron with an expanded steel top, given to me by my late sister (the good) after she got a new patio set.
After 24 years, it could use a new coat of paint---maybe this Summer? This is what sees the most use----coffee in the mornings, wine in the evenings, backgammon, Brandy and cigars with friends etc....

I also have a classic wooden picnic table that served us well until it warped (the bad.) The screws it had been assembled with couldn't be backed out to effect repairs, so it's banished to an unused corner of the yard, serving as a workbench where I put a piece of sheet metal on top and melt lead (long story) using an old Coleman propane stove and cast iron sauce pan. It's not used for anything else because of the danger from contamination. Some day it will probably collapse.

Those huge wooden cable spools were popular patio tables back in the 1970's and I'd love to have one because I have many fond memories of sitting around such monstrosities (the ugly) during college days, but sadly, I haven't seen any in decades.

I'm blessed with a large patio, but if I had to move into an apartment with a token a patio, I'd consider a little two seat Bistro set

My Father retired from Philadelphia Electric. I also grew up with those wooden cable spools! Dad would paint them without any thought to color, only to weather proofing. Here I was thinking that I’m the only one that had that childhood memory!

I've got a slew of patio furniture due to my wife designing the deck when we move here 16 years ago. First, we have a 16X16 screened in porch with 8 chairs (the rattan kind), an eating table and three wrought iron and glass top tables. We then have a space for the grill outside of the porch. She then designed a set of steps off the grill area leading to a fairly large open-air deck. It can seat 12 people if we want. Down there we have two wrought iron tables with four chairs a piece and small 50's era swinging couch that can swing a little bit. There are a couple of chairs located downstairs with a small table beside them.

Front patio has two chairs and a table. Back patio has dinning set and a group outdoor sofa. Don't use the back patio unless I'm grilling. The front is my smoking central.

We have a Hampton Bay metal outdoor dining set from Home Depot. It's not fancy, but still cost us about a grand. Around the firepit we have Polywood Adirondack chairs that we're really happy with. We got a pretty good deal on them online from Wayfair furniture. Makes for a nice little backyard oasis in suburbia.
