I just noticed something that I don't recall ever seeing on any pipe before.

Meaning, it might have been there and I just didn't notice it, OR it might be unique.

A playing card type "club" stamped directly on the bottom of the shank near the stem. It's so small it looks like a blemish until you get out some glass and zoom in.

Definitely a deliberately placed, carefully crafted little club symbol.

Sasieni peepul... is this something special?

That’s a first for me. There’s nothing I’ve seen in any of the various Sasieni materials that mentions anything like this. Were I going to hazard a guess, I’d suggest that it might be an owner’s stamp.

Almost , or fully, identical to the rare clover stamp/logo on the stem of my early Comoy's Old Bruyere .
A beautiful, sturdy full bent. Unfortunately someone cut off the bit.

Or, he could have just made 7 Clubs doubled and redoubled while vulnerable, playing for six pence a point.....and bought the pipe with the winnings, with plenty left over.

Well, it's possible....
