I’ve made some silly moves before so this could have been one of them but this seems to have worked out well. I bought this from a war zone: the Ukraine, from Very Keen on Pipes (vkpipes). Actually, I couldn’t locate anyone who had anything to say about them outside a YouTube review and their eBay store, which has many good reviews (I bought direct from their website because it was cheaper). Anyway, this is a Dunhill Patent Bruyere. It’s very nicely restored and delivered (via road from Kiev then flying from Poland) within 10 days to Japan. You can barely make out the Dunhill and Bruyere stamps. You can get a “P” there but the number is unclear. It comes with the inner tube but the ending is smashed except for the ending numbers “17574.” This seems to indicate it’s a 1937 pipe per pipephil. I’m not really understanding why VK pipes stipulated that it could also be a 42-52 pipe seeing as there’s no “/34.” Maybe there’s a Dunhill expert who knows? Anyway, this is a very lovely little pipe. I’ve no more money for pipes for a while.
