Hi everyone,

I've bought this pipe 5 years ago, unsmoked but with no box. As shown in the pics it's stemped "Parker Super Bruyere" and "2", on the other side it's stamped "made in London" over "England" and "3" in circle.
I've read some of articles but still can't be sure.
Any idea about the dating of this pipe?

thanks.

How to tell it's post 1957?

If it's 1948 so it will be stamped 23 right?
Sorry sir! I’m no expert but there is no pat number and if you look pipepedia mentioned above seems like post 57 with stamping and all. Again no expert so i can be wrong

It's ok sir, pipepedia also my refernce but can't find any clue except "The first year's pipes (1923) had no date code; from 1924 on it ran consecutively from 1 to 19", but that just make me cuckle and sceptical no way this pipe came that era.

No way to tell age other than it is after when they stopped dating pipes. Given the shape of the stem, probably fairly late in production.
This pic from pipepedia can help us estimate the ages?
I think they are quite similar

That extreme 'duck bill' shape is the stem profile tends to be seen in late production. After they stopped date stamping in the 1950's, dating becomes impossible.

Your pipe could have been made any time from the 50's to the day before you bought it.
