Painted Briar Options?

Have you considered THE SMOKE? It’s a phenolic resin pipe (like The Pipe) with a pyrolytic graphite sleeve (sort of like a Meerschaum lined briar, except this is a graphite lined plastic pipe with a nylon stem). You can find them for under twenty bucks on eBay, It has a painted finish and would be easy to clean.

I was going to suggest brylon too.

My biggest concern is a pretty hot bowl can make these kinds of "lacquer" finished bubble in spots.

I’ve gotten better but still run hot, so that’s a factor for sure-thx

Maybe the plastered and polished, but I think a cob would absorb nasty crap even worse than a meer if I catch overspray in a wind shift.

Once it’s cleaned up I think this Color Duke will fill the bill perfectly! Heck, it won’t even run the risk of it being misplaced!
