I don’t understand why this style of tin has this reputation for poor sealing. I have decades old tins that were just fine. I‘ve never had a problem with one. In addition, they reseal easily and reliably. But, Sablebrush has been at this longer than me. He doesn’t trust them long-term. Sometime ago, I took some of my HU tobacco and repackaged the tobacco in mylar packs, then placed the packages back inside their original tins. When I unseal those, it’s interesting to see how the vacuum packaging has pressed the tobacco into a sort of cake tobacco.
