PAD As Stress Relief? - New Rustic Snail Pipe

Stress has really been getting to me lately. Everything that's going on these days, trying to keep open and grow 3 different businesses and hopefully not have to lay anyone off, my wife being on unemployment, humans in general. It's just a lot.

Decided to let off some steam and get myself a little gift. Found a very unique pipe from carver Svetlana Nechaeva she calls a rustic snail:





This is my third pipe from her and the second snail in my collection although the other is a snail shell. I've been really happy with my other two pipes from her and I think not only is she a talented carver but her pipes are probably a little under-valued, IMO. Depending on the actual source it can sometimes be a very small hassle to get these pipes as I'm told Ukraine doesn't allow PayPal but it's worth it though.

It almost looks like it could be a reverse calabash but I won't know until it gets here. I love the uniqueness and funkiness of it and for some reason I'm now craving some escargot... ?

That is a very interesting pipe! I would almost smoke something like that! And I only do classic shapes.

And yes I'm the same way. It's a curse being able to afford things sometimes. But I take care of everything I own, except my pipes funny enough. I just ordered a guitar yesterday. One I had owned previously and sold to pay bills. I missed it terribly, so I re ordered the same one. Haha just knowing that it will be here in a few days takes my stress away.

Buying stuff definitely gets the endorphins flowing, when you order it, while you are waiting for it, when it arrives, and when you smoke it the first ten times. That is an admirable pipe, for sure, shaping, stain, finish. Not many things are grand, but that is.

Yeah, I picked up a few pipes to pick myself up during the pandemic too. That and cigars have really kept me going during these times...

Yup. Pipehub. I really just need to stay off that site. Their sale prices, and even regular prices, can be a little too tempting but they're a good source for less traditional stuff.

Luckily I have most of what I like cellared and what I don't have isn't in stock right now.

I am intrigued with Nuttens pipes. I almost purchased a bing a few months back. His work looks beautiful.

I might get the Nuttens pipe yet. It'd help round out my collection or make a great gift for my brother. Hard to say at this point.

If the acquisition of many pipes causes you stress, stop.
