I was able to smoke a sample of six year old Luxury Twist Flake. It was sublime. Probably one of the sweeter Viriginias, much like Newminster 400. Im wondering how much age played into that? Those of you that smoke thiss blend on a regular basis, how would you compare fresh to aged?

I plan on loading up on this blend, but dont want to be too disappointed with the fresh stuff.

I find LTF to be an excellent tobacco fresh and aged. If it isn't a good tobacco to smoke fresh then it won't be good later either.

You shouldn't be disappointed, I've found Stokkebye's virginias to age very well. I have some Birdseye, Navy, and Twist Flake in the cellar that's just a little over 10 years now, absolutely delicious.

Take a flake of LTF and LNF, stack them, and twist them together and stuff in the pipe. LNF is too humdrum for me, and LTF too aromatic, but together they have the aroma of a freshly opened box of cowboy boots. It’s one if my favorite smokes.

Couldn't agree more. I've recently been finding pure virginia blends to be a little on the monotonous side - heavy into Scottish blends right now. Could be just another post-Covid surprise.

I hope I end up liking the 2+ lbs of LTF I have sitting in jars. Smoked some early on and the coconut was way too strong for my tastes. That was 6+ years ago. I hope the tobacco has morphed in that time. LNF and LBF are 2 of my go to's after 5 years of age.
