Here's the Grabow with the p-lip I just restored. Nothing fancy, no new stain or anything, just a good cleaning. The hole is in the usual spot, not on the top like on the Peterson's I own...bad iPad pic. :|

Thanks for all the replies. I looked and looked and just picked up a Savinelli 2611 Dry System on Ebay for a pretty good price. Like I said, the p-lip helps with tongue bite, especially when I have time to smoke more than a bowl or two per day and the Peterson I have works great for the aros.

Just wanted to say thanks for this thread. The steck bit -- or P-lip, as it has come to be known -- is so closely associated with Peterson these days, I wasn't aware of any other contemporary maker that was using them. Good to know that Peterson isn't alone here.
