I'm glad they are staying in business though. I bought my very first pipe there and was shown around the workshop and learned about pipe making one slow Tuesday afternoon. My first pipe was an original re-issue K&P Irish Made 68 Army bent brandy. I still have it 40 yrs later !

They are nice people with a nice shop in an area of decreasing foot traffic. While Worcester has been making a bit of a comeback, the downtown area needs a big refresh. I wonder where they are going to in N.H.

I was very fond of the Owl Shop in Worcester, and visited it many times during business travel to Massachusetts in the 1990s. If memory serves, John Photakis was their pipe-maker; i wonder if he is still with them? Also, I loved their Bancroft Tower and Owl Natural pipe-tobaccos.

Still not determined yet. I was talking to Zack a bit a few weeks ago and he was going to take the winter to enjoy some time off and figure things out once he gets bored... Knowing Zack, I give him a couple months tops.

John passed in a car accident in 2002 at age 51 I believe. He was the one who took me on a tour of his workshop and showed me how he makes pipes when I bought my first pipe. His son Zack still works there i believe per website.

Foot traffic? A nearby college or university campus? Parking? Local statutes allowing in-store smoking? I hope they've done their homework and have scouted out the territory. A pipe shop is a delicate endeavor.
