Well I just got an email from Hans and my order has been dispatched and is on it's way. Now for the wait.

Yep, got my order yesterday and will be smoking some Director's Cut later today. Very well packaged and no issues from Germany. :)

I've heard it recommended before, but never pulled the trigger. Sending an email to Hans, this sounds amazing!

Just got my latest shipment in from Hans. Can't smoke any of it for the next 10 days as I just had oral surgery and smoking is doubly a no no. Director's Cut is a very fine blend. So is Makhuwa which everyone is overlooking. Hans is a genius blender. Make yourself happy and buy Makhuwa.

Trust your recommendations Sable! I shall order some the next time I order. I was having a dental implant done that required bone grafts. I ignored doctors no smoking order and ruined the grafts. Had to have the very painful procedure done again and it was expensive. Lesson learned.

From Tobaccoreviews, I'm also very curious to try Hans' Zulu blend.

Yep, With the first procedure, bone grafts etc, I didn't smoke for nearly a month. This is round two where the anchor is implanted, so no smoking for anywhere from 10 days to 2 weeks. Round 3 in three months, the tooth is implanted. No smoking for a couple of weeks after that.
Make sure you use a waterpik if you smoke. Cleans under and around the gums in a way that flossing and brushing alone doesn't.
Hey Code! Good choice on the Makhuwa! It's like smoking milk chocolate. Absolutely delicious.

Hey Sable! I'll check out the waterpik. I floss every day but you never know! And thanks, I hear the blend is amazing, and being a burley, it should be good for breaking in pipes. It said there isn't a topping, but is there?
Dockworker definitely has a fruity topping although the site says there isn't ;)
Cheers,
John

There is an interesting hint of old world urgency in the fact that HU orders are not shipped but rather are "dispatched."

When I retire, I want to live out in the Swiss, Scottish or German countryside and have mail parcels dispatched to my homestead. How awesome would it be to have a burlap wrapped parcel tied with twine, pulled out of a saddlebag direct from Germany =)

I think I'm going to like the double cap setup on Hu's 100g tins. It seems to reseal quite positively after opening and ought to keep a blend moist for a heck of a long time.

^^ Yup, those "paint can" tins are awesome. I have some half full of tobacco from 2010 that I thought would surely be dried out by now. I just popped the tin and the tobacco is as fresh as the day I bought it.
