I picked up an estate Kaywoodie.
The draft hole sits about 1/8" above the bottom of the bowl. The bowl is reamed and or burned below the draft hole and either it was drilled a little off or it burned down a little off center.
Does this affect anything??
Any tobacco below the draft hole will have a hard time burning. If you're OK with that, enjoy the pipe as is, if you're not, a little pipe mud will fix things right up.
