I always thought that Castello makes some of the very best pipes out there.

I've not seen one that wasn't a total eye sore to me and their buttons weren't comfortable at all. Like all of them though, there's a pipe for every smoker.

That’s a good assertion. I couldn’t figure out what the shaping was like. It definitely has an “old world” feel to it, but definitely not English or Danish. The swooping line would be in keeping with French filigree.

I think it's just how the concave curve of the rim caught the light.

Makes sense, didn't realize it was concave, the edges would catch a reflection.
