When haunted castle came out with cake it went out fast. Then a few months after more came out without much fan fare. So now I wait to buy the second run. If its good the reviews will note it. I am not an early adopter. I'm a wait and see person. If it's a limited run never to return I won't bother. I would not like to get hooked on something that I cannot enjoy for the foreseeable future. I like consistency not rarity.

As many as allowed per day, per account (I have three), until the blend is exhausted. Most of which gets stuck in customs for months, but who cares, it stops all you lot getting your hands on any, and isn't that the main point? Lol, just kidding of course. Ordered two tins of the recent Sun Bear last night. As a bowl or two a day guy, that is more than enough.

For me it all depends on whether I have had the blend before and what type of blend it is. If it's a re-release, like Sunbear, that I know I like I will get between 4 to 10 tins. If it's one I've never had but the blend is up my alley I'll buy a max of ten. If I don't know if I'll like it I buy two to four max.

Depends on the blend, If it is something That I know I will (past iterations) then I will buy anywhere from 5-20. If it is something totally new then I will generally buy 2 tins. Someone earlier mentioned 2019 cringle flake vs 2020. That is one of my biggest regrets not buying a bunch of the 2019.

Initially I was always a single tin man. If a blend I really enjoyed stopped being sold, I would briefly mourn it then move on, but the time I’ve spent lurking here and in other communities has increasingly turned me into a hoarder over the last year or two. I still try and resist, but can get caught up in the fomo at times. Thankfully though this tendency still hasn’t carried over to pipes themselves!

If it's a blend I already know I like ala windjammer. I buy a lb at a time when it goes on sale. If it's a unknown to me blend I want to try I just buy one tin. If it's a limited release sometimes I'll buy two one to sample and one to age

Don’t buy much anymore as I went overboard for years with over 1200 tins. But I really liked the first Sun Bear so I picked up 12 tins of Tupelo.

I buy more blends than I smoke, seldom more than a tin or two. Even a tin of blend I love can last for months smoked in rotation. I don't pine after great blends I can't get. Frog Morton Cellar was bliss, but I'm not going to spend $150 for it. There are too many exciting blends to try, and some golden oldies that don't cost much and on occasion can give a stellar smoke.

It's sort of a philosophical question. Take life as it comes, even if you are talking about pipe tobacco blends, if you see what I mean.

I just sent three tins off the top of my pipe cabinet to a pipe smoking friend. All of them, I'd be glad to have tried, but I felt I was getting more out of them by sharing.

I buy 2 if I’m interested but I’m not trying to get enough of any limited blend to last a lifetime, it would have to be the last blend on earth for me to go all in. I value money more than limited releases.
