Noobs beware. This thread,including the originating post, is a big joke. Loading/filling a pipe is simple and can be accomplished correctly almost right away. My 3 step method follows...
First chop the strands/ribbons of tobacco with scissors until it is a uniform size. It should look something like ground pepper. Then use a funnel to pour the tobacco powder into your pipe. Do not tamp! Lastly while holding a lit match above the tobacco breathe in through the pipe with a vigorous inhalation. Your pipe is now lit and you should be experiencing a lovely tobacco sensation in your lungs.
