Opium Aromatic? Edit: (Perfume) L.

Is there an opium aromatic on the market that anyone knows of? A quick search at P&C comes up empty. I can't be the only one who loves the scent of opium. Any options at all?

Never personally smelled opium,what does it smell like? How would a blender come up with a smell from something illegal?

I guess the same way that perfume, incense and potpourri companies do it. I have no idea. I have never smelled the real deal either but the faux scent smells great.

Believe it or not the U.S. and England used to be free countries. If they were still, maybe we wouldn't be so ignorant and we would all know what real opium smells like. Trading real opium is a large part of what made England what is is today. I think the faux scent of all of the opium incense etc. must be pretty close to the real deal. What a room note an aromatic would make... Opium makes me think of the scent of really pungent flowers. Any floral aromatics out there? Rose? Gardenia? Something legal that won't ruffle feathers?

I believe the smell you are after is the smell of the perfume Opium, by Yves Saint Laurent. By all accounts I've read, a true opium den was one of the foulest smelling places on earth.
P.S. If you want a pipe tobacco that smells like perfume, try Mixture 79. It tastes like cardboard soaked in grandmas perfume.

I don't know what opium smells like, but if you want perfumed tobacco, Lakeland blends will likely be something you find interesting.
The blends I've tried made me feel like I was smoking soap. :|

I have no idea what the ladies perfume smells like, but I bet it smells like the incense and I bet both smell like the narcotic.

Actual Opium (the poppy-resin) doesn't smell bad, but smoking that will cause you to become addicted to morphine, which sucks.
The incense smells nothing like it to me and the perfume called Opium smells like someone set a dirty diaper on fire.
I've never heard of a baccy that smelled like opium.

I never had incense growing up because my dad is very allergic and the smell gives me a headache. I'm sure there is something out there though. There is always K3 lol.

Sorry, I know this is an old thread, but for anyone who's interested, opium has a very complex scent. It is floral, but not exclusively so. There's a sweetness to it, but it isn't sugary sweet. It also kind of smells like sex. I've never smelled any of these artificial opium scents, ironically, so I guess I can't make a comparison in that department.
