I’m looking for your thoughts and opinions on the best medium to full body, creamy (not spicy) cigar? Cigar construction should be considered as important as well as draw etc…

A “weekend” or “special occasion” stick (not daily smoke). Let’s say under $100 a stick preferably under $50. I would say no Cubans, although if there is something that’s just “that good”, fine, name it.

For point of reference, a buddy asked me this the other day, and I’m would like to hear what this group has to say!

I’d go with a Davidoff Winston Churchill line. Creamy, slightly fruity, slightly funky. $20-$35 depending on size

As for Cubans… the only must have cigars I’ve had out Cuba in last decade has been bolivar el from 2018 and the diplomatico nortenos (Canada regional). Both can still be gotten at an okay price.

First thought is an aged Cuban Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure Especial. The cream and kitchen-spiced apricot notes are out of this world, underlain by exotic woods. The HdM Double Corona would also fit the bill.

I also get some creamy notes reliably in Ashton Cabinet.

I am also a big fan of this Davidoff ... it can get a bit "bold" but overall its a great smoke.

This is one of my favorite cigars on the market!
One of the nice things about them is that I can get them even at the local backwoods "tobacco shop". If they were cheaper, I'd smoke them more often: $18-22 puts them into the special occasion category.

I'll second pantsBoots' suggestion of Ashton Cabinet. Some Dunbartons might suit your requirements too, but I haven't had one in a while. The few I've had were milder than I expected, according to my notes.

I'll second the Padron 1926 - very tough to beat. However, if you haven't tried Steve Saka's line called Dunbarton Cigars, you're missing out. The Sin Compromiso is outstanding, and he does special releases called Muestra de Saka, with various names, each in its own little wood coffin. I think they are among the best available in America right now. Just read the reviews.

Ferio Tego Elegancia checks your boxes. About $20 for a 6x50 Toro. It's complex and creamy med-full flavored cigar. No spice at all. I am typically not a fan of Connecticut Shade wrapper cigars, because I find them too mild and pretty one dimensional, but this one is anything but.

From the FT website:

Flavors reminiscent of: Reminiscent of buttered toast, cappuccino, caramel, cashews, crème brûlée, roasted peanut, toasted brioche, vanilla custard.
