Opening A Tin? Show Us!

On opening, I figured I’d like it as I was hit with a more fermented note than anything (which I like). I prefer medium to dark Va’s over bright so it is right in my wheelhouse.
One small smoke in, I enjoyed it quite a bit-medium body, nic is present, not bitey, with a hint of sweet/sour tones. I think “Royal Yacht Light” (Peterson STG version-I’ve no experience with the predecessor blends) is a fair description.
It will be enjoyed quite a bit, probably going to revisit today in a larger chamber.
Finished off a tin of Samsun and Delilah today and popping something different in the same genre for the smoking shelves.

Opened up a tin of Escudo last week.
Is it in fact rich and dark?

With all the opened & jarred tins I currently have, I couldn't resist opening another tin of Mac Baren's Stockton Roll Cake.
A few months in the cellar, might have been a few months on the shelf. A fine quality ready rubbed.
Damn, broken flake pieces in there, that blend is more legit then I thought. Gonna have to get some to try.
Yeah, they sell that one in the UK but for some reason I never got around to buying some. It's definitely on my 'to try list'.

Looks better than the bulk I’ve had for sure. Might have to try a Tim and revisit.

Popped an old tin of Royal Yacht i've had in the cellar for many years. Unfortunately, i didn't write the purchase date on this one.
I had a tin come in that made me question its integrity. I went ahead an opened it and jarred it.
After opening it, sort of glad I did. The seal seemed pretty flimsy.
