I love, love, love the wide open draw on cobs (with the filter removed).

I want to find a briar with with a similarly open draw. Are there any briar brands that are especially known for having a more open draw?

Naturally, I thought of just getting a filtered briar and removing it; like I did with the cobs. But a couple of threads on here say that doing so could lead to an... explosion (?!). Why is this the case with briars, but cobs are immune? Or are they?!
If you want a Briar that draws like a Cob your best bet is to track down a used Castello (or ask for recommendations on new artisan carvers who don't charge an arm and a leg).
Across the industry it's incredibly rare for Briar pipes to be drilled with a draw anywhere near as open as a cob.

A 9mm briar with no filter will have a firehose open draw. A Castello is expensive but is famous for the open draw. Radice costs less but has a nicely open draw.
As we all are aware ,a White Spot Dunhill is expensive as well, and in most cases these come with removable 4mm innertube which when removed Dunhills provide with sufficiently open draw,
