I try to keep my Aro's and English separated but it never happens, so like most I smoke whatever in whatever.

I don't dedicate specific blends to specific pipes, but I do dedicate by flavor profile. The exception is I only smoke 1792 out of one pipe, however I smoke other baccy out of it also, just don't smoke the 1792 in anything else. The tonquin ghost improves some blends and detracts from others. The discovery process is enjoyable.

I don't have pipes dedicated to blends but I do tend to smoke only burley, VA, VaPer in the same pipes and Latakia blends in other pipes. Aromatics and Latakia blends usually go in my cobs or my meer too.

I smoke whatever in whatever
BUT....
As time goes on I notice some blends taste better in a short stout pipe and others in a 10.5" churchwarden and yet others in a big bore, big bowl pipe. I am not a pipe snob who will name brands of pipes that cost whatever amount of money but I will say that I like to think I am developing a palette of sorts that dictates I keep using select pipes for select types of baccy!
Heck, I have even purchased two of a specific pipe just so I can use them in rotation throughout and evening with a favorite baccy of the day. Currently I have done this with two each of a churchwarden from Italy and two fat German pipes that are identical just because they provide a smoking profile vastly different from each other.

In the churchwardens I use a blend of my own creation that is heavy on Virginians and light aromatics. In the fat German pipes I smoke very dark, moist aromatics.

Then there are the small pipes I have, currently 3 of them that I smoke in the early morning before work and they are specific to my love of a heavy flake tobacco in the morning. After all, the nicotine content of most flakes I purchase is higher and thus provide a great morning boost while the latter tobaccos are reserved for all evening and into the night.
But let me not forget to mention the Hookah....a pipe that goes unmentioned here. Perhaps someday I will try to start a conversation about that for those of us who also love this unique smoking utensil!
