One Pipe for One Day

I rarely smoke more than one bowl in a day. If I do, it's sometimes the same pipe sometimes different. I can see where it might become more of a decision with more bowls in a day. Always the 3-4 minute paper towel, couple pipe cleaners cleaning after each smoke regardless.

I tend to only smoke certain “genres” in certain pipes, so however many of those I go through is how many pipes I go through.

I change the pipe each time I smoke , otherwise i see no point owning several tenth of pipes sitting on the rack and no use

I've tried to use one pipe all day - 3 or 4 bowls on a smokey day - but the moisture is a problem after the first bowl. So I always have two pipes with me, sometimes three.

So far so good. I am able to enjoy each pipe more. I do clean with a paper towel and pipec cleaner after each use. I even often use the same pipe cleaner and paper towel.

I tend to dedicate pipes to genres as well. I have enough pipes that each genre has 4+ pipes (except Lakeland, which has 2). It's a rare day that I'll have more than 3 smokes, and even rarer that I'll have more than one of the same family. So far my method works well for me.

Except cobs, of course. Especially the cobs that live in my car. Those get whatever I feel like every whenever I want.

I’m settled with the number I’ve acquired for now. If I came across a good used or new Peterson 999, that would be nice .
