So sorry to hear it. It’s heartbreaking when that time comes. Been through it before…and my current one is almost 11 now…not looking forward to dealing with it again.

I'm so sorry. Few things are worse than saying a final goodbye to our animal friends... but at least she had a wonderful life with you.

Someday further down the road, I hope you'll get to see her again.

It is heartbreaking to make decisions like this. Find comfort in doing what is kind for your loved one. All the pet owners I am sure are grieving with your family.

One of our girls had cancer. Terminal case. We try to prolong her life as much as possible, but at this point, she's suffering. Have decided to let her take the longest rest we all take.

Decided it will be tomorrow.

Send her a happy thoughts. All dogs go to heaven.
So very sorry to hear this. My sympathy to you and your family. There is longtime radio host in Boston who closes his show every night with the following: "All dogs all cats, all pets go to heaven. That is where my beloved pal Charlie is and I do believe that we all will see them again." I fervently hope it is true and hope that it true for all of us. I deeply love my two Basset hounds but everyday I think of and miss my beloved pals who live in my heart.

One of the worst things we have to do in life, so sorry to hear.

I remember when I was a kid, my dad and I brought our cat in and I fought like a bastard to be there with him when he passed, but he forced me to walk out that door and they took the cat and I never saw him again.

I'll never forgive my father for that. It's not something that I'm ruminating over or anything, but I'll always remember.

It's an extremely hard decision to make and then to see it thru and I've done it more times than I care to remember. If you can manage, be with her and hold her. 🙏

The best we can do for our dogs is to love them, be the people they hope we are, and then help ease them into the next world. I am so very sorry for your loss.

My late friend, the author Gene Hill, once wrote, "Someone said that the only place you can bury a dog is in your heart. That way you can call the dog in for a little chat now and then -- teasing it about being a clumsy puppy and looking down at your old hunting boots remembering who it was that put the teeth marks in them. You can hunt a day or so again, together, when you need a certain kind of memory -- another day you like better than the one you're living in right now."

And to that I say Amen.

Now she's lost a lot of weight. But she's showing she got some more left. Don't want to let her go until she's ready. Put off taking her to vet twice.

Have oxygen support. Chinese miracle med came in today. She's breathing better and been walking around all day. Even barked at neighborhood dogs.

God this is painful. Had a dog died in me when I was in college. Said never again. Have two more to go through. But I want to be sure she's ready. As long as she's fighting for life, I just can't put her down.

It’s always hard. I’ve had dogs my whole life and I sometimes wonder why I have them when it comes to the inevitable. But II like to think of that old saying: “Don’t be sad that it ended, be happy that it happened"
