as a kid, +1 for the flying monkeys in Wizard of Oz,
and the movie Omen.

Got to watch ALIENS way too young, gave me nightmares regularly for about a decade, though I also got nightmares from watching My Little Ponies... Then again those two might not be so different:

I didn't appreciate it at the time but cartoons in the 80's were amazing.

Diabolique- A french horror film I saw in NYC when I was a pup. Never heard of that flick since then. It was B+W IIRC.
