Another time I watched Louie beat up 2 kids at a dodge ball game.
Is it really any surprise that Louie's life became one of wanton violence and destruction?
Louie was forced to participate in America's version of stoning -- called Dodgeball -- at a tender age.
I still bear the scars (literally and figuratively) of my own participation in that same ritual.
The experience is indelibly etched in my mind.
Buff jocks on one side; fat nerds on the other.
Guess on which side of the line I stood?
The whistle would blow and they would be all over me like a cougar on a crippled chicken.
With this horrific upbringing, I could easily have embraced crime.
However, thanks to the love of my family and the tender affection of a good woman I avoided prison and altered the course of my life.
I hope Louie can do the same.

Feel for you Peck, my Father moved us to Brownsville Tex when I was in the lower grades to run a fleet of Shrimp boats. I stood out like a sore thumb among the Mexicans, I had to fight every day, fortunately I was very good at it. In the mid grades we came back home and my experience with Bullies had honed me to dislike seeing anyone abused, to this day I will not tolerate anyone being abused. Hard to make a judgement on anyone until you've walked in his shoes. Really verbal abuse is the worst, you can wash off blood and shrug off bruises, but words in the mind stay there.
