The "black spot"has resonance in piracy, but if you've read "Treasure Island" or other pirate tales, you know that.
But the black spot has to be inked on a sheet of white paper/canvas in order to be a spot. What I see there is just darkness.
I'm not exagerating when I say that my mom used to read stories like Treasure Island (really get into that one if you wish) and Dracula as our bedtime stories.
But how can we identify darkness? Why does darkness lead us to evil? Is darkness evil or is it just a moral construct?
Oh man, let's not go there. Religious posts not allowed and all that. Let me rephrase: what I see there is just blackness.
I actually kind of liked this version of the tune. Not the biggest Disturbed fan, but I like it when people do a cover and "make it their own thing" without totally refuckulating it.
