I really like their Shepherd's Pie and I also have a couple tins of their 50th Anniversary tin I haven't tried yet

They are great people to deal with!! :sher:

I went on-line to The Country Squire to buy another 1/2 pound of Old Toby, but I could not find it on their website. I sent them a query, and this was the response earlier today:

Unfortunately, our Middle Earth series is on hold due to licensing issues. They will be back up next week but will be rebranded with new names. Thank you for your patience and understanding.”

Ugh. i hope my favorite aromatic comes back unchanged. I hereby offer TCS my name for the rebranded version of Old Toby—Old Mike has a nice ring to it.
It should come back as Prison Mike

Maybe it will be called “Used to-be.”

I have yet to confirm it with someone at Country Squire, but my thought is that this blend I just noticed on their website is the pipe tobacco formerly known as Old Toby:

By far one of our most popular and widely celebrated aromatic blends, Tombigbee is comprised of Virginia, several strains of Burley that have been through the cavendish process. A sweet and creamy smoke that will have your senses traveling down a long Southern road.

Bag Note:The sweet smell of Snickerdoodle Cookies or Spice Cake.
Room Note:Cinnamon Toast or Caramelized Sugar
Tasting Notes:Carmel, Undertones of Vanilla,

I ordered 8 ounces and can’t wait to give it a try.

Interesting, because Old Toby had Perique in it.
