Dnietosi: I personally did not notice any similarities between OD and SL. And I didn't like OD, while thoroughly enjoying Squadron Leader.

And I'm the opposite... Squadron Leader (for me) is a an OK blend which always promises to be better but only delivers a fairly one-dimensional smoke. I keep coming back to it in the hopes that one day I'll find it to be wonderful, but not yet.

What I said was that OD,like SL, is what I consider am all day English. I didn't say they had a similar taste.
No big deal; you don't like it, you don't like it. It's all personal taste, anyway.

Sorry, Jud, I had replied to dnietosi without actually reading your original message that he was commenting on.

as Al said, I'm an OD fan, and I still can't understand the quirk in his palate which otherwise likes Lats. SL is one I've had around a long time, but it somehow is picky relative to the specific pipe and other factors. I've had some very good puffs with SL, while other times it's just so so. OD is very consistently good.
