The flakes in the pound box are twice as long as the tins, but I cut them in half and put one pound into two pint jars.
I'm a big fan of MacBaren Navy Flake. I'm guessing I could do the same with that 1lb box too.

Yes I have to admit now after smoking two pouches of Amphora Kentucky Bled in a row and comparing it with ODF, seems that these both are about the same strength with the exeption ODF being smootherHaving a bowl of ODF as I type this. It’s what I reach for if I want that hint of hardwood smoke but I don’t want all the nic or strength of a “regular” DFK blend. When I say “regular,” I simply mean not hot pressed. The hot pressing really mellows the Kentucky out a lot, and brings out the sweetness in it. I know people talk about ODF like it’s a nic monster, but it’s pretty tame in my opinion. A nice easygoing smoke that still has lots of flavor.
To my tastes BK is bolder in flavor, and gives me more of that bbq flavor that I love. ODF is a bit more woodsy to me.How would you guys compare ODF to Bold Kentucky?
I know BK is stronger but I’ve read some reviews saying that it’s even sweeter than ODF.
I haven’t cracked open my BK tin yet and I’m thinking of including a ODF tin in my next order.

Yeah, ODF hits that woody flavor perfectly, almost floral even sometimes. Not to enable you further, but I think you definitely won't regret getting BK.I reviewed ODF earlier in the year, what REALLY stood out for me was the freshly cut wood flavour it gave me. I'd go as far as to say that I wanted more of the BBQ, and overall a stronger smoke. Regardless, I liked it so much that it shot up to my top 5 from one tin.
Your post means I now have to get BK though, damn TAD never ends :/

I have yet to try the Amphora blends, I've heard the Kentucky being called a lower nic ODF, so more floral rather than spicy wood makes sense. If You ask me, Amphora Kentucky blend seems to have even more floral notes to it
