I thought C&D's Seadog was ashy and plain for the first couple bowls, but, after sitting in its opened tin for a couple months in my van until it got nice and crispy, it tasted fantastic, sweet, smokey, and the burleys are a little cigarish at the end of the bowl. It is now one of my favourite "American Englishes."

Six Pence is another. That one I liked quite a bit first off, then didn't like it for a couple of years, now it's back in the most favorite nations status.

There are a lot of blends (too many to list) I've wrote off after a few bowls and then after a few months or a year I've come back and realized they are at best, "not that bad". So I keep every blend I "hate" and come back to it with different pipes, at different times, with different drinks.
