If you need to cull deer take the does then. They are the ones having the babies not the bucks.
I have never hunted much but to each their own.
I would love to see a deer as described. It would be magnificent.

Shouldn't your title have been "Oh my gods"?

Anyways, I will get mine in the next three weeks.

You would think, but the deer go into rut unmated and will cause many problems. They are half crazed at this time and I've even had them run smack dab into the side of my truck on slower roads, like they were attacking it. Also, the mated bucks will impregnate many does, and the unmated or roe deer get prolific and can tear up property as well as cause traffic problems.
These large bucks we see just before season starts are smart, and won't be found when the season opens. This is why they get to be so old. We cull the roe, and it helps keep the population tidy. We do have a doe season, but it is a much shorter span of time.

I just seen no political posts in the rules. Nothing said about religious posts as long as we keep everything civil.
Actually it has always been a rule. No religion at all. But, some get away with things, whereas others don’t. Denominations sometimes comes up when we talk about Presbyterian Mix and such.
And, some get away with politics, but I’m not sure how that works.

I can relate.

This and similar forums seem to be pretty tolerant of the occasional mention, usually in the form of a blessing or expression of concern or something else fairly trivial (such as the "Pipe preacher" thread.) Like with politics, it's pretty easy to glean many members' views from the occasional comment. I think the mods just want to stave off any serious discussion of either topic, that's what makes for an unpleasant workload. ;)
