If the OP is buying 5 pounds, he doesn't have to get the tins to get flake. If you buy 5 of the 1 pound boxes of flake at SP you get an additional percentage off.

Sorry, should have made that clear. It will be five one pound boxes of flake. You can fit a pound into a qt size canning jar with room left over. The flakes will remain upright.

I would buy every tobacco in flake form if I could. My GLP Cumberland was very nice until it died after a few months and never seemed to quite get that sweetness back.
