Oddest place you purchased a pipe?

BTW, which Hooter's is that. I think I've been to all of them in PCB. :mrgreen:

voorhees, you are too much! This Hooters is the one on Thomas Dr. next to a La Quinta and across the street from the small Panama City Naval Support Activity base.

At a yard sale in York Harbor Maine I picked up 2 Peterson pipes, one is scribed with Shamrocks and a Lyre, the other has an amber P-lip stem and is in a hard leather covered case, the third is a Dunhill Shell from 1917 with a real Ivory Spot, paid the majestic sum of $1 each. The amber stemmed P-lip is in the house somewhere it got misplaced after my wife rearranged things when I was hospitalized with kidney failure leading to a diagnosis of Mantle Cell Lymphoma. I'll find it someday as little boxes she put away have come around here and there. The other 2 get smoked regularly.

I bought a group of 4 pipes from the GoodWill site. 3 beaters and a very fine City Deluxe Canadian (GBD sub brand). Got all 4 for $12.00.

Bought my first two pipes (Brighams) at Kmart back before smoking was evil.

They used to have a decent selection of them up by the cash registers.
