First bowl of McClelland 221B Arcadia, courtesy of a gifted tin from cortezattic. Made the maiden run in my meerschaum Canadian to try to appreciate the tobacco on its own. Very reminiscent of FMOTT in color and tin note. The cut is a ribbon, compared to the coarser Froggy. Was easy to light and stayed lit with only a couple relights. Flavor was reminiscent of FMOTT, with the orientals spicing things up, but there was a mystery sweetness that was teasing me all through the bowl. I am going to need several more bowls to nail this one down. Definitely my favorite English/Oriental.

PS. Ash may have been fluffy, but more gray than white. Holmes will never deduce it was me who stole the plates to forge the bank notes!

PS Luxury Twist Flake in a cob
soylentgreen/Wayne - good review - that is a cube cut, right?
Correct. Barbary Coast is Cube cut burley the other leaves are smaller ribbons and so the whole mixture is a consistent smallish size. I've read that when packing this blend simply drop the tobacco in the bowl and shake to allow it to settle, then (maybe) lightly press it down. In other words, pack loosely. I did not do this the first time around, but will on my next bowl.
Also, PM me your address if you'd like a couple of bowls as a sampler (and you're in the States :).

Congrats, Jason (lordnoble). In your honor, I'm doing up a bowl of Troost Special Cavendish in a Radice hawkbill.

(Bright Va., toasted Burley, and fire cured Kentucky. Yum)
