Sounds like she has the right mentality for the hobby, just needs to relax.

I've only gazed toward the rabbit hole; I have pipes for Aros and non-Aros - that's it.

My pipes are in about seven or eight different racks, each rack holding five to twelve pipes. I put the pipes dedicated to each type of tobacco together in their own rack...for the most part. My system is less specific than yours, as I dedicate pipes to: Standard Virginia's, Stoved Virginia's, Virginia's with Perique or Burley, Light English, Heavy English, Straight Burley, Lakelands, Sweet Aromatics and I have a couple of meers that I use for testing new blends that might ghost. In amongst these sub-categories I have various pipes that are dedicated to specific blends, but I know exactly which pipes these are and they are racked up with pipes of the same sub-category. This Pipe sequestration doesn't seem anal or pedantic to me....I suppose that shows how anal I really am!

Retail tags? Okay, I'm not as obsessed as I once thought.
Philobeddoe, I like the rack idea; which means I have something new to focus on. Thank you, sir! ... it's good to hear that I'm not the only one.
