We had several "smoked fish" type of entries, but in the end, none of them made the final cut.

Okay I have to ask because I fill out one of these every month, and every month the winners captions are WAY better than what I submitted. Are you caption prize winners a special breed of funny? Do you just think of something lucky the moment you see it or do you spend a while thinking about it? This month's were all particularly hilarious....

These captions are really clever and thoughtful. I'm impressed. They find a lot of pipe references

and weave them together with brevity. Mine was something about using the pipe to catch a hookah,

but it wasn't quite as wired together as these.
