:DRoyal London Dock in my Rettke patent pipe made in Washington Mo about 1940

The London dock that I remember from the 50's could not have been this good!

And "SHE WHO MUST BE OBAYED" Likes the room note!

A blend called Black Forest from now defunct thepiperoom.com. Syrian latakia and black cavendish. Tastes like smokey chocolate and cherries. I really miss this resource for 'baccy. They had some great blends... :(

Popped a new tin: McClelland Christmas Cheer 2011. I got it in an order from Pipes and Cigars a while ago and I managed to hold off until now. But 'tis the season, and all that. Broken flake, nice Christmas cake-y note in the tin. Rubbed it out into my meerschaum Canadian. Mild smoke, encouraging the slow smoke to tease out the nuances. Burned well: 3 matches to get it lit, then no relights, even with it being a fresh tin with no drying.
Ladies and gentlemen, we live in a golden age of pipe tobacco.
