stupid side note. The law library at the place I work has that show on DVD. It's the stand out. Basically they also have a few fiction books that are just ones the library staff considers favorites. (how I got my copy of Point Counter Point). And it's there because of that. Which is kind of funny because all the other fictional stuff they have are movies with realistic law stuff in them.... I like to imagine a L1 thinking it was based on a true story.

Damn, didn't say. Borehamwood in Hertfordshire, just outside Elstree and Borehamwood railway station. Probably because all the internal scenes were shot at MGM-British Studios, one of the several Elstree studios. It's about 12 miles north of London.

If I made a follow up, it would be called "The Pensioner".

"Who is Number 1?"
"Pardon?"

Was a conclusion made for that show? The earliest show I can remember that a concluding episode was made was 'The Fugitive'.

Let me put it this way:
Patrick McGoohan went into hiding for at least a week after "Fall Out" aired, because several people showed up at his house complaining about the ending.

Legend has it that for those last two episodes, Patrick and The Actor For #2 (don't recall his name) got so into character that the rest of the staff had to basically force them to take a break once or twice so they could come back to reality and unwind.

Personally, having watched Neon Genesis Evangelion before I watched The Prisoner, I wasn't particularly upset by the end of it.
