Nostalgia is part of the appeal of pipe smoking for many. Russ's new article is an interesting commentary on the past and the present of pipes and tobaccos.

Thanks for the comment. I find it much easier to be optimistic since I learned some important lessons, and one of the lessons is how much I enjoy the people associated with our hobby. It's one of my greatest pleasures to be able to contribute with products or words, and I plan to be around as long as people want me to be.

Russ, Your articles are infectious and hit right at the heart of what and why we do what we do. They say the grass is always greener on the other side but I'll bet there's a lot of us who envy your position and the ability to put into words and blends what most of us are thinking. I haven't met you yet but, hopefully our paths will cross one day.
