For the past several years, I have been looking for a Northern Briar Sea Urchin that wouldn't hold 2 ounces of tobacco in the bowl. The smaller ones are super hard to find. Well, any of them a super hard to find since they seem to sell as soon as the arrive.

I finally got my mitts on a drop dead gorgeous Group 4 and it just arrived. The stem work is quite decent and disburses the smoke evenly when drawn. It even passes a pipe cleaner without any stutter which according to stories I have heard, can sometimes be a problem with Ian's bespoke pipes. This is my first handmade Northern Briar.

I know odd pipes like this aren't everyone's cup of tea but I thought I would share.

Sorry about the crappy pic. Too lazy this afternoon... I haven't smoked it yet, but love the look and quality . I have high hopes! puffy

Apparently that's a 'sea fossil'. My wife was kind enough to throw away the price list he sent me, but I have a screenshot somewhere.
Could be, but looks like Ian's still calling them urchins.

You're probably right! There aren't any pictures in the catalogue, so I was just going by what Google came up with for each shape name.
