Earlier today my daughter said to me, "Dad, it's a good thing they called this storm Nemo, 'cause it looks like it's lost!" She was spot on. I thought the weather folks blew it. I mean, it was snowing, but not enough to worry about. In fact I took a nice stroll and smoked a bowl of Walnut... and then around 4:30PM the sky opened up! We are gettin' it but good! I think they have dialed back the inch count a bit, but I have my work cut out for me. Thanks for the concern guys. Stay warm all!!
We've been hit with over 2 feet of snow so far and its still going pretty strong. I'm just outside Toronto
Philly's stayed warm enough to get only a couple of inches so far, but my kids in NYC area and Boston will be needing a yardstick to measure the snow. We'll see if the Boston record in 2003 of 27.6" will get broken.

we had no snow on Thursday, then a day later i have 5foot tall snowbanks beside the driveway. Crazy ass weather lately
Nova Scotia here, it is 12:30 am right now an we are in Blizzard conditions. High winds now and snowing like hell. Expected to get around 40cm. Wife has to work Sat, Sun, Mon, so sent her to work tonight before the storm hits. She works in Nursing home so she can bed down there. Probably won't see her until Sunday or Monday night.
Got out the Kerosene heater today to check it over and the dam thing didn't work properly. Went downtown and they had a few Generators on sale. 3500 watt Generator for $388.00. Grabbed one before they were gone. Now if power goes out, I can run the Infered heater, TV, Microwave, Kettle, etc. Only problem is, the dam thing holds 15 litres of Gasoline and I don't know how long a tank lasts. I have enough Gas for 2 tankfulls. Only have to run the Generator, for the Heaters, a few minutes each hour, and I can heat stuff in the Microwave at the same time, so I am assuming a tank of Gas should last 20 hours or more.

I'm not in the northeast, but I got a good bit of snow. I live in the thumb of Michigan, about 30 miles west of the Blue Water Bridge. We got around 8 inches, it's the most we have had all winter.
Pretty crazy here on Long Island, tried to dig my way out to go to work but opted out. Another day. Its all ice under the snow anyways.

Not sure how much we ended up with in Hudson Valley, NY but there is enough that my cat completely disappears when I toss him out on to the porch. My roommates went out around 11 pm last night and shoveled the driveway but there is still a ton of snow left! I want to go on record and state that I am NOT pleased.
Still snowing, blowing and mandatory driving ban in effect here in Central Massachusetts. Cape Cod has pretty much lost most of their power where some of my brothers live. Over 2 feet of snow here with more to come. My vehicles soon to be dug out.
