Columbus was another excellent, well-run show by the North American Society of Pipe Collectors (NASPC) at the new venue Marriott NW. Over one hundred vendor tables sold in the ballroom with three outdoor smoking tents. The pipe selection was excellent but the vintage tobacco offerings were incredible, as usual.
There were hundreds of tins of vintage tobacco available, and, as an example, I was able to pick up 3 McClelland 100g tins for only $250 total (2007 Christmas Cheer; 2004 Mixture No. 12 and 2007 No. 22 Virginia see photo above). Compare those prices with the offerings on Tin Bids. I also got an old sealed 1 lb tin of LJ Peretti‘s London Flake for only $30: two sealed tins of 2001 & 2003 Dunhill Apertiff for $20 each and a sealed 2006 tin of Germain‘s Royal Jersey for $15. Redeemed Pipes had several large tubs of 10+ year old tins for sale from a large cellar Ben had purchased. This show is a must event to find vintage tobaccos.
