Just got one, unfinished. I like it & want to let it patina though use. Anyone ever sand it smoother that the way it comes for a smoother finish or let it be the way it is. I am all for lazy.

I got mine in April and it's starting to color nicely. Leave it alone and just enjoy it.

I am dying to get one of these, especially cause they're only about $60, but I'm kinda wanting my fiance to get me it for Christmas. So, right now I'm just chomping at the bit hoping she gets the picture and brings home the bacon er um pipe. I'm thinking of leaving enough funds in our joint account to cover that pipe plus Peterson's Holiday Season blend and maybe a new pipe pouch.

I have one with between 8-10 years color on it, it's very nice looking. I would definitely NOT sand it or do anything besides pack, smoke, clean, repeat. Will post a couple pics when I get back to the house.
