I have no respect for people who argue points solely for the sake of winning arguments. Out of respect for the truth or, in making a reasonable attempt to get at the truth, I am therefore compelled to report that, in The Book Of Pipes And Tobacco, Carl Ehwa attributes gurgling pipes as sometimes due to misalignment of the draft holes! Further, the solution he offers is, "Throw the pipe away."

Doc, please excuse my overweaning little disputation.

This is after all a forum where facts and opinions are offered. Like AA a person should take away what is useful to him. However, I cannot throw this gurgler away as Ehwa suggests; it was after all my first good pipe. Plus, my experience with a Nording certainly does not generalize to any other Nording, all of which may indeed be fine pipes. But I really appreciate your iniative.

I'd think a pipe repair guy or maker could drill it out for you.
Talk to pipemaker. If he can't fix it maybe he can install a bidet. :>)
