Thanks for the post. I read that but wondered why they didn't follow the original recipe if there are FDA limitations on introducing new recipes that are not the same.
This is my opinion or guess.

McClelland owned the original recipes.
McClelland did not sell any of their recipes when they closed down.
Since McClelland did not sell the original recipe, C&D could not use the same exact recipe because they don't own it.

Again, they might be terrific blends but nobody is out hunting ducks on horseback in funny clothes, lol. Same with pointers over there. Although I think fox hunts were also about shooting anything and everything at one time before they became "fox hunts", the foxhound homage is definitely appropriate - I really don't get the labels with the faux aristocracy bit but many will like - all a matter of preference.

LOL, I better be fair.

Just checked pics online of the "classics" and Nording had a guy actually hunting afield afoot that looked like a hunter, but the same dog on every tin and not that great looking, honestly, without regard to whether it was the breed that was the name of the tobacco.

I'm going to dig some out and see if there were other views.

Maybe they should do a Bloodhound Blend, with Red Virginia's and Dark Fired Kentucky the tin art could be a hound chasseing an escaped prisoner through the swamp.

Have to get the pointer one only because I've got a pointer myself. Crazy high energy dogs 🤪
