Non-tapered Military Mount?

I’m curious if there is such an animal as a non tapered military mount? Or would that just make it a push tenon. If the stem was attached without taper but had full diameter?

I'd not be surprised to learn there are some, but probably not by any of the top producers.

I have a Chris askwith pipe which has a faux military mount. I.e from the outside it looks like the stem mounts directly without a taper, but in reality it has a standard push tenon that goes into a briar mortise

I thought the very definition of a military mount was the fact it is tapered,hence can be dissembled hot.
