Non-Flavored Flake Recommendation

This Saturday I stopped at Gold Leaf Tobacconist in Seabrook, NH on a quick round trip to Massachusetts and back to Maine. The place was very nice and the Owner was pleasant. Good supply of pipes and tobacco. I will be stopping there again when I can spend more time. While I was looking around drooling Joe (the owner) invited me to fill my bowl with any of the tobaccos on the shelf that were already open and sit and have a smoke. I was looking around and he asked what I was looking for and I said I have been wanting to try a flake tobacco. He reached into his pocket and produce a pouch of PS Luxury Navy Flake. I really enjoyed the bowl but I would like to try one a little stronger. Could I get some recommendations?

Maybe Peterson Irish Flake. That is pretty strong stuff.

Samuel Gawith Full Virginia Flake is a little stronger as is Stonehaven if you can find it. I like SG St. James Flake, which is FVF with a little Perique. IF you want a flake with Latakia, try SG Navy Flake.

St. James flake from pretty much anyone. I personally am a big fan of McClelland's, but it will give you the strength your looking for. PS Luxury bullseye flake is a good strong flake also imo, and a great deal. I guess it depends what your definition of strong is, I've never had LNF so I can't compare it.

Luxury Bulls eye and Navy flake are the same strength wise in my opinion. I would recommend getting a tin of Escudo since you liked LNF. It has much more flavor and is the Virginia/Perique blend which all others are judged by.
I would also grab the following tins.
Mac Baren Old Dark Fired

Solani 660 Silver flake and 633

Samuel Gawith St James Flake and Full Virginia Flake

Peterson 3P's
For another great flake that is not really strong but has tons of flavor, Capstan Blue Flake which is only available here.

First I want to thank everyone for their recommendations. That is what I love any the forum all ways easy to get good advice. I am going to go with Peterson Irish Flake and SG Navy Flake. I just have to find a site that has both in stock. I do not have a B&M near me.

I have placed my order and will report back once I have tried a few bowls of each. I ended up ordering one tin of each of the Peterson Irish Flake and SG Navy Flake. While I am waiting I will have to contemplate rub, cube, strips, or fold and stuff.

I really like Latakia. I have gone back and looked at the Skiff Mixture and also the Balkan Flake. If I like the SG Navy Flake I may try these next.

I have received my order with the two flakes SG Navy Flake and Peterson Irish Flake. I have had only 1 bowl of the IF so far and found it very enjoyable. I am holding judgment until I can smoke a few more bowls. The SG Navy Flake I have had 4 bowls so far and the flavor is fantastic I will be getting a more to cellar as well as trying the Balkan flake.
